Post-COVD 19 in Toronto

With the onset of COVID 19 and the closing of cultural events and festivals in Ontario and throughout Canada, Nile Valley Books in now utilizing a digital platform for its books through Facebook, Instagram, and now a newly designed website for online sales.

Nile Valley Books is a bookstore and event space in the Woodbine and Gerrard / UpperBeaches area of Toronto. Since opening our doors in 1999, we have been a hub for meaningful conversation, creative expression, and community transformation.

Our bookstore specializes in multicultural books, cultural studies, and religious traditions and African and Caribbean history— and we’re known for our skillfully curated selection of gifts, fiction, poetry, and children’s books centered on multicultural voices. With the “new normal” post-COVID 19 Toronto, we will host author talks, poetry readings, local writers’ showcases, and much more.
